1.     Njile ndeambakalafye, imilimo nshiimwene, MEANING:  I went in quest of work and found none.

2.     Tamona milimo iine iine, ambakalafye, MEANING: He or she has no regular work and is looking for some, but he or she has difficulties in obtaining it.

Also applied to the result of work.

Example of use

Ukutanda male alitandile, nomba ambakelemofye, tafyamena, MEANING: He or she sowed millet all right, but all to no avail, for the seed did not grow.
